Believe or not, this is pink slime is, according regulators, perfectible edible (finely ground) meat that’s washed in ammonium hydroxide. No need to say, before that “production procedure” -as they call the wash with ammonium- the meat was unfit for human consumption.
“It’s fair enough, I’ve never eaten that disgusting paste" you must be thinking. Well, as so it happens, it seems that this lousy slime is mixed with 70% of the mincemeat we consume, so as a matter of fact, odds are you’ve eaten a lot of it by now. Surprise!

All in all, it’s the last time I eat mincemeat that I haven’t seen a butcher ground. Geez! I could have never imagined that we could be eating “refurbished meat”.
